Lunenburg

Lunenburg is just about an hour outside of downtown Halifax and is the perfect destination for history buffs. Old Town Lunenburg has the honor of being one of only two North American urban communities designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Many of the buildings in town are original colonial structures built in the 18th and 19th centuries, making visitors feel like they’ve truly stepped back in time. You’ll find unique shops, quaint restaurants, and stunning distilleries to explore between the colorful buildings. Tatamagouche

Tatamagouche is a place where you can still feel the Mi’kmaq peoples’ influence and can quickly get away from the busy city. Located just under two hours from downtown Halifax, this town’s name is believed to originate from the Mi’kmaq word for “dam” or “sea wall,” as well as its location at the crossing of the Waugh and French Rivers. You can spend your time here relaxing on the shores of Rushton’s Beach or Blue Sea Beach, enjoy a picnic lunch at Patterson’s Wharf, or take a hike or bike ride along the Trans Canada Trail.

Wolfville

For a quick trip away from our downtown Halifax rentals, head to Wolfville, just an hour away. One hour away from our corporate rentals and suites in downtown Halifax, you’ll find Victoria Park in Truro, a 3,000-acre natural woodland park that provides tons of outdoor fun for all. One of this park’s main features is the extensive trail system that both experienced hikers and beginners can enjoy. Cyclists can enjoy the Railyard Mountain Bike Park, while families with kids will love the playground and water spray park! Victoria Park is also home to several events throughout the year, such as their annual Easter Egg Hunt and Sunday in the Park Summer Concert Series.

Annapolis Valley

Slightly less than two hours from downtown Halifax lies the Annapolis Valley, your gateway to the Bay of Fundy. This incredible destination is home to the world’s highest recorded tides and holds a simply fascinating history of the Mi’kmaq peoples. Animal lovers will be in awe of the 12 whale species that frequent these waters, while wine connoisseurs can explore a plethora of local wineries. This location is an excellent pick if you’re in the mood for seafood since many of the restaurants in town offer up fresh lobster, salmon, mussels, and more.
